Autonomy

Almost two weeks ago America celebrated its 250th anniversary. The idea of autonomy is what drives America. Call me naive but I still believe in the American Dream. It's not dishwasher to millionaire as many people would have you believe. It's about freedom!
Freedom starts with having choices. The right to choose was hard fought for in America. You're probably wondering what this has to do with Hashemo's Haus or Lucky Mushroom. Well, our mission is to make sure that every single kid on this planet can communicate their autonomy to anyone in English with the confidence of a rap star (minus the fowl language that most use).
The ability to speak English has nothing to do with hegemony or antiquated notions of colonization as some would have you believe. At Hashemo's Haus we know that war and peace are discussed in English and to understand and speak English gives one the keys to understanding the world. No matter one's political, sprirtial,or idealogical beliefs; the ability to express them in English is essential. We are all visitors to this wonderful planet and will only be here temporarily.
I lost a friend this spring and Lucky lost his co-host of the Lucky Mushroom Show to a tragic car accident. The entire art community came togeter to celebrate her life. There were people there from many nations and cultures and the predominant language that we communicated in was English. We shared , memories, dreams, and shed a few tears together; mostly in English.
I would like for every child on the planet to be able to share their dreams and create memories with other using English as a way to cross boarders instead of erecting them. Lucky's favorite A-word is "autonomy". He says that we can't even explore the lofty ideas of our belief systems without first claiming your own autonomy and acknowledging the autonomy of others.
Help me help the kids of the world by strenghthening thier ability to listen and speak to one anohter in English. Why English? Because that's the language that I learned about freedom in. Freedom is what I want for every child and that starts with informing them about theor autonomy in English and helping them claim it.
Learning starts with listening. I am also learning. I'm listening to the children.
This post was written hastily and comes from my heart straight to the screen without the use of AI. Please forgive the typos, mispelling, misuse of grammar etc...
As I tell the kids read for the gist. Listen for for it when others are speaking. Ask questions to insure that you really have it.
Support us at Hashemo's Haus if you get the gist.
